Facebook Game Predicts Mind Controlled Smart Homes

‘The other day I wrote about Google positioning itself as the lead developer of automated Smart Home technology that will essentially introduce robotic intelligence into every home.

As further evidence of why Google and others see that the future of surveillance and control is likely to be accepted, attendees of the international Consumer Electronics Show (CES) played the game What’s Next? – a Facebook game “released by IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization, in order to predict the future of consumer electronics.”‘

‘Agent Orange Corn’: Biotech Companies Are Waging a Chemical Arms Race on Our Food Supply

‘The Obama administration  announced last week that it expects to approve corn and soybeans that have been genetically engineered by Dow Chemical company to tolerate the toxic herbicide — 2,4-D.

They are planning this approval despite the fact that use of this herbicide is  associated with increased rates of deadly immune system cancers, Parkinson’s disease, endocrine disruption, birth defects, and many other serious kinds of illness and reproductive problems.’

Ireland vs the Banksters

‘The Icelandic way of dealing with financial fraud committed by bank executives is spreading to other countries of Europe, including now Ireland.

The Nordic island was the first country in decades to expel or imprison corrupt moneylenders oppressing the people, with incredibly positive results. A handful of other nations, notably Hungary, also have gone after the debt slavers. But add Ireland to the growing list of those which have found the courage to confront the problem of bankers conspiring to deprive honest citizens of their hard-earned wealth. After four years of investigations and public outrage, the Irish republic has charged six top financiers with crimes related to the collapse of Anglo Irish Bank (AIB) in 2008.’

America’s Largest Bank Exposed for Spying on Political Rivals, Anti-Banking Groups

‘Bank of America (BofA), the notorious bailout recipient at the heart of multiple financial scandals, has once again demonstrated their absolute contempt for the American people.

The bank’s latest intrigues are a direct assault on the constitutional guarantee of free speech and lawful assembly, as was revealed in early January when Washington state activist Andrew Hendricks posted an email he obtained through a public records search. According to Mikael Thalen of the news website “Storyleak,” the email confirmed the existence of a BofA spy team that has been set up to carry out surveillance on multiple political groups.

The email, dated September 23, 2013, was authored by BofA Global Corporate Security Vice President Kim Triplett-Kolerich and addressed to a member of the Washington State Patrol (WSP), whom Kolerich asks for help in identifying and tracking the movements of political activists set to take part in a then-upcoming demonstration at the state capitol.’

Is a mini ice age on the way? Scientists warn the Sun has ‘gone to sleep’ and say it could cause temperatures to plunge

‘The Sun’s activity is at its lowest for 100 years, scientists have warned.

They say the conditions are eerily similar to those before the Maunder Minimum, a time in 1645 when a mini ice age hit, Freezing London’s River Thames.

Researcher believe the solar lull could cause major changes, and say there is a 20% chance it could lead to ‘major changes’ in temperatures.

‘Whatever measure you use, solar peaks are coming down,’ Richard Harrison of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire told the BBC.

‘I’ve been a solar physicist for 30 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this.’

He says the phenomenon could lead to colder winters similar to those during the Maunder Minimum. ’There were cold winters, almost a mini ice age. ’You had a period when the River Thames froze.’

UK chancellor demands pro-business reform of European Union

‘UK chancellor George Osborne has called for wholesale economic and political “reform” of the European Union (EU), warning that otherwise Britain will quit its membership.

Osborne was addressing a conference of the Open Europe think tank and the Conservative Fresh Start group, who are pressing for corporate deregulation, a further assault on welfare and for some powers to be transferred back to Westminster from Brussels.

Since the financial crash of 2008, the EU has been the mechanism for forcing through a social counter-revolution—particularly in southern and eastern Europe. Savage cuts in public spending, mass layoffs and wage cuts have created social misery in Greece, Spain, Portugal and elsewhere.

Osborne made clear that he welcomed this assault but insisted it had not gone far enough.’

Week After West Virginia Chemical Spill, Company Files for Bankruptcy

‘Freedom Industries, the company that fouled thousands of West Virginians’ water with a chemical leak into the Elk River last week, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Friday.

Freedom owes $3.6 million to its top 20 unsecured creditors, according to bankruptcy documents. The company also owes more than $2.4 million in unpaid taxes to the Internal Revenue Service, and the IRS has placed at least three liens on Freedom’s property, demanding payment.

The unpaid taxes date back to at least 2000, according to a lien filed in 2010.

Under the bankruptcy code, Chapter 11 permits a company to reorganize and continue operating.’

Are Water Filters Effective Against the Chemical in the West Virginia Water Supply?

‘Officials in West Virginia claim that the water in parts of the state is now safe after a chemical spill left 300,000 people without water, but local residents aren’t so sure …

… Many people have asked whether or not a water filtration system will remove the toxic chemical, 4-Methylcyclohexane Methanol,  from municipal water, rendering it safe. It’s a difficult question to answer, because this chemical does not normally contaminate drinking water.’

‘We need to get rid of the Palestinians’ – Israeli minister Lapid

‘We’re beginning to get an idea of what the outcome of the latest series of US-sponsored Israeli-Palestinian talks might look like.

The talks began in July 2013 and are due to conclude with a final status agreement in April this year.

In a nutshell, the outcome is likely to be a double whammy of ethnic cleansing of some of Israel’s Arab citizens and the annexation of large chunks of the illegally occupied Palestinian West Bank.

According to the Times of Israel, this diabolical plan – the brainchild of Israel’s Moldovan foreign minister and former nightclub bouncer, Avigdor Lieberman, calls for towns in “The Triangle” region southeast of Haifa – including heavily populated Arab cities – to become part of a Palestinian state in any peace agreement, in exchange for the Jewish colonies of the West Bank. It would mean the ethnic cleansing of about 300,000 Israeli Arabs.’

Earthing – The ultimate healing technique?

‘The amount of barriers to healing is a long and sordid list, with a dirty food, water and air supply sitting at the top. Combine that with a poor relationship with the sun and the earth, and true healing becomes very difficult. However, if we can reignite our connection with the earth, we may find healing becomes a lot easier.

Earthing, also known as grounding, is based on research showing that having a connection to the earth’s electrical energy promotes physical well-being. This connection is made between the electrical frequencies of the human body and that of the earth, which can be achieved directly (e.g., barefoot in grass or on a beach) or by proxy through grounding technology.’

Rotting in Prison for Hosting the Wrong House Guest? The War on Terror’s Insane Abuses Continue

‘Tucked behind federal courthouse buildings in lower Manhattan is the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), a detention facility that mostly holds prisoners before their cases go to court.

For nearly three years, a Muslim-American named Syed Fahad Hashmi was held under restrictive conditions inside the walls of the MCC. Before he had his day in court on charges of providing material support to al Qaeda, Hashmi was locked in solitary confinement, confined to his cell for 23 hours a day and only allowed out for one hour of recreation–in a cage.

After striking a plea deal with the federal government in April 2010, he was sentenced to 15 years, and was moved to a prison in Colorado. His crime was hosting an acquaintance at his London apartment who went on to deliver clothes to a high-level militant linked to al Qaeda in Pakistan. Hashmi fell victim to “material support” laws that have effectively enshrined guilt by association into law.’

Interpol's Political Prisoner: Petition Protests Illegal Arrest of Journalist for Ideological Reasons

‘After 13 days in prison following an international arrest warrant issued against him, Kimyongür Bahar, a Belgian citizen of Turkish origins, is currently under house arrest in Massa, Italy. Bahar is an anti-war activist and political journalist who the Turkish government, led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has declared to be a “terrorist” even though his actions involved organizing legal protests in Belgium and not in Turkey against the Turkish regime.

His real “crime” has nothing to do with so-called terrorism, but rather for his good work in denouncing the undemocratic aspects of the Erdoğan government, which has repeatedly demanded that he be arrested and extradited to Turkey. Should that demand be carried out it would put not only his freedom but his life at risk.’

Nuclear Japan. Tokyo's Response to Fukushima: Boost the Nuclear Energy Industry, Restart Old Reactors

‘Official Japanese policy on nuclear power has swung full circle since the Fukushima disaster of 2011 – from avidly pro-nuclear power then, to rejecting nuclear power as too dangerous, and now back to avidly pushing on to re-start old reactors and build new ones. Adding the chronic secrecy and denial of the nuclear industry to such politically-driven indecision making, Japan has created a funhouse of distorting mirrors from which emerging information about the on-going Fukushima disaster cannot be considered credible without reliable, independent verification. Reliable and credible information about Fukushima is just what authorities in Japan and around the world apparently do not want.’
